new three year agreement was ratified 9/1/17!

IBEW LOCAL 1393 BENEFIT RIDE

The ride for the Richard M. Fairbanks Burn Center at Eskenazi  Health raised over $1,500 dollars this past Saturday.  That’s a total of almost $20,000 dollars for the Burn Center, when combined with our annual Hooligan Golf Outing!  The funds will be presented to the Burn Center on August the 18

The annual charity event was a resounding success, raising over $17,717 for the Richard M. Fairbanks Burn Center!  We here, at IBEW local 1393, wish thank all of our donors one last time for a terrific turnout! 

JUNE 16, 2017 VECTREN ENERGY CONTRACT VOTE UPDATE!!!

The members voted today and voted to accept Company offer 2-1 of the members that voted with 64% of the ballots returned.

The Local will be holding a Golf Outing on July 15, 2017 to raise money for the Eskenazi Health Burn Center, the top Burn Center in the United States. The Center provides care for our members when needed. Please click Flyer below for more information and entry form.

Brother Lockhart Funeral on January 7, 2017.

IBEW Local 1393 mourns the loss of Member Dova Ray Lockhart:

It is with great sadness that I report the fatality of one of our members on Wednesday December 28, 2016. The member was a WIN Energy member. Around 4:00pm on Wednesday he suffered a electrical shock while working for the REMC. The member worked in the Sullivan office and was a Journeyman Lineman. He leaves behind a wife and five children. Please keep this member's family in your prayers as they grieve this loss. The Local has notified the National Sisterhood of the IBEW www.nsujl.org to provide support to the family during this time. We will keep you posted as more information is available.

IBEW Local 1393 is requesting all members able to attend please attend to show support for our fallen Brother and wear your IBEW Local 1393 clothing, if possible. Brother Lockhart worked in the construction branch of the Local and at WIN Energy REMC under Local 1393.

A fund is being set up for his family and will be posted on this page once established.
